Beginning on the Wright‑Hamilton County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 34‑T90N‑R26W, Wright County, (NW Corner Section 3‑T89N‑R26W, Hamilton County); then northerly following substantially the section line of Sections 34, 27 and 22‑T90N‑R26W to a point approximately 1,100 feet north of the W ¼ Corner Section 22‑T90N‑R26W; then in a northeasterly direction through Sections 22 and 15‑T90N‑R26W to a point approximately 400 feet south of the center of Section 15‑T90N‑R26W; then northerly following substantially the center section line of Sections 15, 10 and 3‑T90N‑R26W and Section 34‑T91N‑R26W to a point approximately ¼ mile north of the S ¼ Corner Section 34‑T91N‑R26W; then in a northwesterly direction through said Section 34 to the south corporation line of Eagle Grove, connecting with Commercial Avenue.

Eagle Grove:

Beginning on Commercial Avenue at the south corporation line; then northerly and northwesterly on Commercial Avenue to North Commercial Avenue; then northerly on North Commercial Avenue to the north corporation line.

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

Iowa 17 begins on the Wright‑Hamilton County line approximately 3 miles east of the SW corner of Hamilton County, and travels generally northerly and westerly via Eagle Grove and Goldfield to the Wright‑Humboldt County line approximately 2 ½ miles west of Goldfield, then travels northerly along the Wright‑Humboldt County line to the NW corner of Wright County, Iowa.

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records Iowa 17 in Wright County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

PROPOSAL ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 17 in Wright County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
